Three Wheeled Buggies
Whether you're looking for a buggy run with or just a nifty stroller to tackle strolls around the neighborhood, three-wheeled buggies offer great mobility. Their compact design makes them easy to maneuver even in tight spaces.
If you want an easy ride in your pram, choose models with 360deg front wheels that swivel. However, they are more prone to punctures so be prepared with an repair kit.
Sturdy frame
The latest figures have been released revealing that the three-wheeled buggie - that noughties symbol of more money than wisdom is on the verge of disappearing. Four-wheelers are replacing them, and are more versatile and easy to drive, while also looking elegant.
The rule is that the bigger the wheels, the easier it will be for your buggy to cope with bumpy and rough pavements. With larger wheels front and back also makes it easier to manoeuvre and more stable when walking downhill or on difficult terrain.
MFM reviewer Kath tested this buggy with the newborn baby and a toddler and found it very sturdy. It handled cobbles, grass, and rough pavements, aswell as dirt tracks and kerbs. She said "it feels sturdy to push and is very stable when traversing difficult terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable, so require occasional pumping) offer built-in suspension which was extremely comfortable for my children.
Another thing to consider is the size of the seat and shape. You'll want it to be large enough for your child's comfort and you will also want it to be able to recline so that they can lie flat. Some three-wheel buggies offer an option to lie flat completely while others will only allow a parent facing one.
The Roma Atlas is a great alternative for off-road or wet walks. This buggy is suitable for a single child as early as birth, and can be adapted to accommodate two children as your family grows. It is suitable for toddlers and infants from birth to age 4 and comes with a bumper, raincover, an improved 5-point harness, and a huge padded seat. The storage options are excellent as well, with a decent-sized basket, zip pockets on the hood, and an easy-to-access pouch on the rear of the seat unit.
Larger wheels
Larger wheels mean your buggy will be more stable on rough terrain - ideal for off-road buggies. In addition, they allow you to maneuver the buggy through tight spaces. Some three-wheeled buggies feature swivel wheels on the front, which help you navigate tight corners. Others are designed to run and have fixed wheels that lock for greater speed and stability. This is particularly useful when you bump against trees or a kerb. The front wheel can be lifted slightly to keep it from hitting it.
Many 3 wheeled pushchair s have air-filled tyres that allow them to handle a wide range of terrains. They are also more flexible than 4 wheelers. They're also lighter. However, they're prone to punctures and you'll need to keep an repair kit, spare tube and pump in your bag.

Mountain Buggy Core, Venicci Carbo and Venicci Carbo Lux are some of our favourite 3-wheelers. Both of these buggies have larger wheels that, according to MFM reviewer Kath, "perform really well on grass, gravel tracks and market town cobbles" and are able to effortlessly go up and down kerbs. They also have suspensions that according to Kath "smooths out bumps very effectively".
The downside of having bigger wheels is that they make buggies quite large and can struggle to fit through narrow spaces. pushchair 3 wheels is a problem when you're using it for an exercise bike or to be able to get through narrow doorways when out and out and about. The majority of models come with compact folding options that let you remove the front wheels and store them in a more compact manner.
Easy to maneuver
A three-wheel buggy can be more comfortable to drive with children. The way in which they are constructed means that the front wheels turn at a whim and are really maneuverable, making them ideal for difficult terrains such as parks, cobbles and bumpy pavements as well as dirt tracks.
MFM reviewer Kath tried a 3-wheeler with her toddler. she wrote: "The Terrain is a pleasure to drive on uneven terrain. The swivel wheel front was particularly useful." I was also impressed with how well it dealt with kerbs, especially when using the hand-operated brake. I found it to be extremely stable when going downhill or over uneven terrain."
The only drawback to this incredible maneuverability is that the 3 wheel buggy's larger wheels do sometimes mean it has to struggle in tight spaces - something to keep in mind when you live in a city region. If this is a problem then a 4-wheel buggy may be a better choice for you.
Bumper bar
Bumper bars are the perfect method to shield your child from scrapes and bumps when out and about. These bumper bars are easy to install, and will make your child feel secure and safe while out and about.
The bumper bar is designed to match the sleek lines of your Slim Twin stroller. It has a soft, cushioned surface that provides an ideal place for your child to grasp onto while walking. The robust construction and durable design will ensure that your child will be able to enjoy strolling around town without worrying about falling or leaning forward.
The sling is stowed within the frame, not on top like the seat that is modular. This provides a lower centre of gravity for your newborn at the right height and also offers great weight distribution, making it easier to pop over curbs (it is much easier to push a stroller up and over than you may think). MFM reviewer Kath said it was excellent on cobbles and grass. It's also a good option for running with its air-filled tyres and lockable swivel wheel.
With a stylish and sophisticated look, this bumper bar is sure to draw attention wherever you go. It's available in a variety of finishes and colours to suit your personal style. It comes with a simple quick-release mechanism that makes it easy to remove and install the bumper bar whenever needed. The bumper bar is easy to clean, as it is made of sturdy materials. This makes it an excellent option for families seeking a stylish and secure stroller accessory.
Comfort
A 3-wheel buggy provides the most maneuverability and performance when you go off-road. With the perfect geometry and engineering, as well as weight distribution this kind of buggy is able to change direction on a dime and be a breeze to steer using just one hand. Mountain Buggies meet the same rigorous stability standards and tests as buggies with 4 wheels.
The Sport's clever design places the fabric sling seat within the frame, not on top like modular seats. This means it has lower center of gravity, which means it is easier to push, has a lighter curb-pop (you won't need to put in the same effort to raise the buggy's nose over the curb), and offers better balance and stability. And with the huge 16'' rear wheels and lockable swivel front wheels and tyres with air that only require occasional pumping for smooth, bump-free rides over rough terrain and a smoother, more comfortable jog as well.
As the only all-terrain pushchair in our collection with a parent-facing seat that can also take the form of a car seat or carrycot to ensure the future of your family and take pleasure in every adventure from day dot and into the future and all within the footprint of a single buggy!
Kath who was our MFM reviewer, also loved the roominess of this buggy. There's a easily accessible, large basket that is surprising spacious for a vehicle of this size. Additionally, there's an excellent pouch on the back seat unit, and two smaller mesh pockets under the hood where you can keep your keys and phone.
